Penultimate day of our trip 🥲 and we are off to the 2nd day of the comp at Longleaf.
Breakfast at the Pinecrest , buffet Sunday. Eat as much as you want 🍄🟫🥖🥞🧇🥓🍳!
Very chilly today, woolly hat day!
Shotgun start at 9.30 so all players took carts to their tees .
Steve and I watched those who started at 16 through to 18 and then nipped into clubhouse for a cuppa before going out on the course again. Dave and Sue had gone shopping for a few things for the final dinner tonight so didn't arrive till later.
Gareth,Steve and I went out to see how our players were getting on.
I beetled off to see the girls passing Scott and Ryan on the way, neither of them seemed too enamoured by their game , gave them a bit of encouragement and went on to see the girls.
Caught up with the girls and they didnt seem all that happy either !
It's lovely to watch them though ,such beautiful swings , oh to be young again and supple !!
All the players finished around 2.30 , was pleased to hear there was a marked improvement in their scores from yesterday , Joe came in 4 over.
Once everyone was in we hit the trail and it was the boys turn to drop off at Nancy and JJ's house and checkout the memorabilia in the house and of course the famous wine cellar!!
The girls went back to Nancy's to start packing and I got the car hoovered out ready to return to the rentals.
Got to be at the Pinecrest Inn to meet everyone at 5.45.
Kate,Louise and Anna were all ready to go early so Kathy kindly took them up to the boys whilst I waited on Katie . She was busy packing her bag.
Off to the boys we go.
Met Pat Molamphy , he wasn't able to go to the final dinner.
Arrived at 6pm to meet all the guests. It was great to see all these wonderful and generous people there.
A lovely meal followed by Daves speech when he thanked everyone for their input and help
in putting things togegether.A nicd touch from Joe said thanks on behalf of the junior players .
All very moving , a trip never to be forgotten.
