Day 3

Early start today , thankfully we all had a much better nights sleep. Everyone raring to go.

Back to Pinecrest Inn this morning for the Sunday buffet breakfast .

Up to Pinehurst No 1 for the 2nd day of the Winternationals. 9.30 shotgun start ! Not so lucky today with the weather, quite overcast when we arrived . Sue and I were in charge ! All the buggies lined up for the start 88 competitors.

We followed some of our players until the heavens opened and being in a buggy the rain was coming at us from all angles ! Time for coffee till the rain stopped !!! An hour later back on course ,rain managing to stay off till the finish. We watched some good golf .

Dave, Steve and Gareth were off to play Southern Pines, they too got rather wet. Despite the weather they enjoyed their game.

They got back to PH no 1 just in time for prize giving and to see our own Joe MacPherson take 1st place Well done !! Congrats to Katie coming 4th scratch overall. Well done to all our players!

Race back with the girls to the house to get changed to go to the boys house for Pizza night and Superbowl. Could be a late one.

Pine Needles tomorrow , fingers crossed weather wont be as bad as forecast !
