Well what a long day !!
Just arrived in Pinehurst around 9.45pm to be greeted by Tom and Kathy, Linda and Eric our Pinehurst hosts.
Thought we never going to get here lol.
Went smoothly at Edinburgh no hiccoughs, arrived in Ĺondon , had a 3 hour wait for our connecting flight which we knew we'd have but everywhere was so busy and so hot !
Flight was ok with lots of good in flight entertainment. Although we took off a little bit later than scheduled we made good time and arrived a bit earlier.
Now the fun begins , not ! Had to wait ages to get through passport control and when we did we were pounced upon by an airport worker asking if we were all one group and we said yes and when she saw all the golf bags she said ah your golfers ,I will need to check all your golf shoes! To cut a long story short she ended up washing no deep cleaning the majority of our shoes before letting us go!!! We couldn't get the rental cars until everyone was through and John from Pinehurst taxis picked up the clubs. Eventually picked up the cars then went in convoy with Steve and Gareth driving and Dave went with John to show us the way. Boys were all dropped off at Craddock Cottage and I then took the girls to Kathy and Toms where there lovely dog Callum greeted us !
Everyone shattered , off to bed ,big day tomorrow,Winter Nationals on PH no 1.
